పాపం చేసినవాడే చస్తాడు. తండ్రి పాపశిక్ష కొడుకు, కొడుకు పాప శిక్ష తండ్రి మొయ్యరు. నీతిమంతుని నీతి ఆ నీతిమంతునికే చెందుతుంది. దుష్టుడి దుష్టత్వం ఆ దుష్టునికే చెందుతుంది.

The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
