พวกนักแสดงกลจึงทูลฟาโรห์​ว่า​ “​นี่​เป็นนิ้วพระหัตถ์​พระเจ้า​” ฝ่ายฟาโรห์​มี​พระทัยแข็งกระด้าง หาเชื่อฟังเขาไม่ เหมือนที่พระเยโฮวาห์​ได้​ตรัสไว้​แล้ว​

Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God: and Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.
