మాంత్రికులు “ఇది దేవుడైన యెహోవా వేలు” అని ఫరోతో చెప్పారు. అయినప్పటికీ యెహోవా చెప్పినట్టు ఫరో హృదయం కఠినం కావడం వల్ల అతడు వారి మాట వినలేదు.

Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God: and Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.
