मूसा अपने ससुर यित्रो नामक मिद्यान के याजक की भेड़-बकरियों को चराता था; और वह उन्हें जंगल की पश्चिमी ओर होरेब नामक परमेश्वर के पर्वत के पास ले गया।

Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.
