నిర్గమకాండం 34:9

“ప్రభూ, నా మీద నీకు దయ ఉంటే నా మనవి ఆలకించు. దయచేసి నా ప్రభువు మా మధ్య మాతో ఉండి మాతో కలసి ప్రయాణించాలి. ఈ ప్రజలు మాటకు లోబడేవాళ్ళు కారు. మా అపరాధాలను, పాపాలను క్షమించు. మమ్మల్ని నీ సొత్తుగా స్వీకరించు” అన్నాడు.

And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.
