నిర్గమకాండం 34:28

మోషే నలభై రాత్రింబగళ్ళు యెహోవా దగ్గరే ఉండిపోయాడు. అతడు భోజనం చెయ్యలేదు, నీళ్ళు తాగలేదు. ఆ సమయంలో దేవుడు చెప్పిన శాసనాలను, అంటే పది ఆజ్ఞలను ఆ పలకల మీద రాశాడు.

And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
