నిర్గమకాండం 34:20

గాడిదను విడిపించాలంటే దానికి బదులు గొర్రెపిల్లను అర్పించాలి. గాడిదను విమోచించకపోతే దాని మెడ విరగగొట్టాలి. మీ సంతానంలో పెద్ద కొడుకుని వెల చెల్లించి విడిపించాలి. నా సన్నిధానంలో ఒక్కడు కూడా ఖాళీ చేతులతో కనిపించకూడదు.

But the firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb: and if thou redeem him not, then shalt thou break his neck. All the firstborn of thy sons thou shalt redeem. And none shall appear before me empty.
