யாத்திராகமம் 34:28

அங்கே அவன் அப்பம் சாப்பிடாமலும் தண்ணீர் குடிக்காமலும் இரவும் பகலும் நாற்பதுநாட்கள் யெகோவாவோடு இருந்தான்; அவன் பத்துக்கற்பனைகளாகிய உடன்படிக்கையின் வார்த்தைகளைப் பலகைகளில் எழுதினான்.

And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
