അവൻ അവിടെ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കാതെയും വെള്ളം കുടിക്കാതെയും നാല്പതു പകലും നാല്പതു രാവും യഹോവയോടുകൂടെ ആയിരുന്നു; അവൻ പത്തു കല്പനയായ നിയമത്തിന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ പലകയിൽ എഴുതിക്കൊടുത്തു.

And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
