ESODO 34:15

Guardati dunque che tu non faccia lega con gli abitanti di quel paese; che talora, quando essi fornicheranno dietro a' lor dii, e sacrificheranno loro, non ti chiamino, e tu non mangi de' lor sacrificii.

Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;
