Exodus 32:8

Zij hebben zich gehaast om af te wijken van de weg die Ik hun geboden had; zij hebben zich een gegoten kalf gemaakt, waarvoor zij zich hebben nedergebogen en waaraan zij geofferd hebben, terwijl zij zeiden: dit is uw god, Israël, die u uit het land Egypte heeft gevoerd.

They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
