เมื่อฟาโรห์ทรงได้ยินถึงเรื่องนี้​ก็​หาช่องที่จะประหารชีวิตโมเสสเสีย ​แต่​โมเสสหนีจากพระพักตร์ของฟาโรห์ไปอาศัยอยู่ในแผ่นดิ​นม​ีเดียน ท่านจึงนั่งลงที่ริมบ่อน้ำแห่งหนึ่ง

Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of Midian: and he sat down by a well.
