నిర్గమకాండం 2:11

మోషే పెద్దవాడైన తరువాత తన ప్రజల దగ్గరికి వెళ్ళాడు. వారు పడుతున్న కష్టాలు, ఇబ్బందులు చూశాడు. ఆ సమయంలో తన సొంత జాతి వాడైన హెబ్రీయుల్లో ఒకణ్ణి ఒక ఐగుప్తీయుడు కొట్టడం చూశాడు.

¶ And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.
