నిర్గమకాండం 23:24

మీరు వారి దేవుళ్ళ ఎదుట సాష్టాంగపడ కూడదు, వారికి మొక్క కూడదు. వాళ్ళు చేసే పనులు చేయ కూడదు. వాళ్ళ విగ్రహాలను తుత్తునియలు చేసి వాటిని పూర్తిగా నాశనం చెయ్యాలి.

Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.
