2 Moseboken 23:31

Jag ska sätta dina gränser från Vasshavet (Röda havet) [i sydöst] till filistéernas hav [Medelhavets kust i väst] och från öknen [Negev eller Sinai i syd] till floden Eufrat [i nordost]. För jag ska lämna landets invånare i din hand, och du ska driva ut dem ifrån dig.

And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.
