men det sjunde året ska du låta marken vila och ligga i träda. Då kan de fattiga (behövande – hebr. evion) i ditt folk få sin föda från den och det som blir över kan de vilda djuren äta. På samma sätt ska du också göra med din vingård och dina olivträd.

But the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thy oliveyard.
