Men det sjunde året ska du låta den vila och ligga i träda , för att de fattiga i ditt folk ska få sin föda från den. Det som de lämnar kvar får markens djur äta. På samma sätt ska du göra med din vingård och din olivplantering.

But the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thy oliveyard.
