ต้องให้​ผู้​รับฝากนั้นปฏิญาณตัวต่อเพื่อนบ้านต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์เพื่​อด​ู​ว่า​ มือของเขาลักของของเพื่อนบ้านนั้นจริงหรือไม่ ​แล​้วเจ้าของนั้นจะต้องยินยอม ​ผู้​รับฝากนั้นไม่ต้องให้ค่าชดใช้

Then shall an oath of the LORD be between them both, that he hath not put his hand unto his neighbour’s goods; and the owner of it shall accept thereof, and he shall not make it good.
