నిర్గమకాండం 22:16

ఒకడు పెళ్లి నిర్ణయం కాని ఒక కన్యను లోబరచుకుని ఆమెతో తన వాంఛ తీర్చుకుంటే ఆమె కోసం కట్నం ఇచ్చి ఆమెను పెళ్లి చేసుకోవాలి.

¶ And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife.
