నిర్గమకాండం 21:20

ఎవరైనా ఒకడు తన దాసుణ్ణి, దాసిని చనిపోయేలా కర్రతో కొట్టినప్పుడు అతడు తప్పకుండా శిక్షకు అర్హుడు.

¶ And if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall be surely punished.
