யாத்திராகமம் 21:22

“மனிதர்கள் சண்டையிட்டு, கர்ப்பவதியான ஒரு பெண்ணை அடித்ததால், அவளுக்கு வேறு சேதமில்லாமல் கர்ப்பம் கலைந்துபோனால், அடிபட்ட பெண்ணின் கணவன் அடித்தவன்மேல் சுமத்துகிறதற்குத்தகுந்தபடியும் நியாயாதிபதிகள் செய்யும் தீர்ப்பின்படியும் அபராதம் கொடுக்கவேண்டும்.

¶ If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman’s husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.
