నిర్గమకాండం 1:22

అప్పుడు ఫరో “వారికి పుట్టిన ప్రతి మగపిల్లవాణ్ణి నైలు నదిలో పడవేయండి. ఆడపిల్లను బతకనియ్యండి” అని తన ఐగుప్తు ప్రజలకు ఆజ్ఞాపించాడు.

And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.
