నిర్గమకాండం 1:16

“మీరు హెబ్రీ స్త్రీలకు పురుడు పోస్తున్నప్పుడు జాగ్రత్తగా కనిపెట్టి చూడండి. మగ పిల్లవాడు పుడితే ఆ బిడ్డను చంపివేయండి, ఆడ పిల్ల అయితే బతకనియ్యండి” అన్నాడు.

And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.
