నిర్గమకాండం 16:4

యెహోవా మోషేతో ఇలా చెప్పాడు. “నేను ఆకాశం నుండి మీ కోసం ఆహారం కురిపిస్తాను. ప్రతిరోజూ ప్రజలు వెళ్లి ఆనాటికి సరిపడేటంత ఆహారం సమకూర్చుకోవాలి. వాళ్ళు నా ఉపదేశం ప్రకారం నడుచుకుంటున్నారో లేదో నేను పరిశీలిస్తాను.

¶ Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.
