પછી તેઓ ‘મારાહ ’ નામની જગ્યાએ આવી પહોંચ્યા. પણ ત્યાંનાં પાણી પી શક્યા નહિ, કેમ કે તે કડવાં હતાં. તેથી એ જગ્યાનું નામ ‘મારાહ’ પડયું.

¶ And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.
