เมื่อพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงนำท่านไปยังแผ่นดินของคนคานาอัน ​ดังที่​​พระองค์​​ได้​ทรงปฏิญาณไว้กั​บท​่านและบรรพบุรุษของท่านว่า จะทรงยกแผ่นดินนั้นให้​แก่​​ท่าน​
