నిర్గమకాండం 13:9

యెహోవా తన బలిష్టమైన చేతితో మిమ్మల్ని ఐగుప్తు నుండి రప్పించాడు. ఆయన ఉపదేశం మీ నోట ఉండేలా, ఈ ఆచారం మీ చేతులపై గుర్తుగా మీ నుదుటిపై జ్ఞాపక చిహ్నంగా ఉంటుంది.

And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the LORD’s law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath the LORD brought thee out of Egypt.
