నిర్గమకాండం 13:21

పగలు, రాత్రి ప్రయాణాల్లో యెహోవా వారికి తోడుగా ఉన్నాడు. పగటి వేళ స్తంభాకార మేఘంలో రాత్రి వేళ వెలుగు ఇవ్వడానికి స్తంభాకార మంటల్లో ఉండి ఆయన వారికి ముందుగా నడిచాడు.

And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:
