નિર્ગમન 10:15

ઢગલાબંધ તીડો ભૂમિ પર છવાઈ ગયાં. તેઓથી ભૂમિ ઢંકાઈ ગઈ. કરાથી સમગ્ર મિસર દેશના જે વૃક્ષો અને વનસ્પતિ બચી ગયાં હતાં તેના પરનાં બધાં જ ફળ તીડો ખાઈ ગયાં. સમગ્ર મિસર દેશનાં લીલાં વૃક્ષો અને અન્ય વનસ્પતિ નામશેષ થઈ ગયાં. ખેતરમાંનાં વૃક્ષો કે વનસ્પતિ પર એકે પાંદડું રહ્યું નહિ.

For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they did eat every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left: and there remained not any green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt.
