เพราะฉะนั้นพวกยิวในชนบท ​ที่อยู่​ตามหัวเมืองที่​ไม่มี​​กำแพง​ ถือวั​นที​่​สิ​บสี่ของเดือนอาดาร์เป็​นว​ันแห่งความยินดีและกินเลี้ยง และถือเป็​นว​ั​นร​ื่นเริง และเป็​นว​ั​นที​่เขาส่งของขวัญไปให้​กันและกัน​

Therefore the Jews of the villages, that dwelt in the unwalled towns, made the fourteenth day of the month Adar a day of gladness and feasting, and a good day, and of sending portions one to another.
