il cui tenore era: Che il re concedeva ai Giudei ch'erano in ciascuna città, di raunarsi, e di stare alla difesa della lor vita, per distruggere, per uccidere, e per isterminare ogni moltitudine di gente armata di qualunque popolo, o provincia, che li assalisse; insieme co' piccoli figliuoli, e le mogli; e per predar le loro spoglie;

Wherein the king granted the Jews which were in every city to gather themselves together, and to stand for their life, to destroy, to slay, and to cause to perish, all the power of the people and province that would assault them, both little ones and women, and to take the spoil of them for a prey,
