జరిగినదంతా మొర్దెకై విన్నాడు. అతడు తన బట్టలు చింపుకుని గోనెపట్ట వేసుకుని బూడిద పోసుకున్నాడు. నగరం నడిబొడ్డుకు వెళ్లి మహా శోకంతో విలపించాడు.
