ఎస్తేరు 3:4

వారు పదే పదే అలా అడిగినా అతడు వారి మాట చెవిని బెట్టలేదు. తాను యూదుడిననీ ఆ కారణంగా తాను ఆ పని చేయలేననీ అతడు వారితో చెప్పాడు. అందుకని అతడు ఆ మాటపై నిలిచి ఉంటాడో లేదో చూద్దాం అని వారు హామానుకు ఈ విషయం తెలియజేశారు.

Now it came to pass, when they spake daily unto him, and he hearkened not unto them, that they told Haman, to see whether Mordecai’s matters would stand: for he had told them that he was a Jew.
