എസ്ഥേർ 3:8

പിന്നെ ഹാമാൻ അഹശ്വേരോശ്‌രാജാവിനോടു: നിന്റെ രാജ്യത്തിലെ സകല സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലുമുള്ള ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഒരു ജാതി ചിന്നിച്ചിതറിക്കിടക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണങ്ങൾ മറ്റുള്ള സകലജാതികളുടേതിനോടും വ്യത്യാസപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ രാജാവിന്റെ പ്രമാണങ്ങളെ അനുസരിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല; അതുകൊണ്ടു അവരെ അങ്ങനെ വിടുന്നതു രാജാവിന്നു യോഗ്യമല്ല.

¶ And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws are diverse from all people; neither keep they the king’s laws: therefore it is not for the king’s profit to suffer them.
