તે માપસર પીવામાં આવતો હતો, જોકે કોઈને પીવા માટે દબાણ કરી શકાતું ન હતું. કેમ કે રાજાએ પોતાના મહેલના સર્વ કારભારીઓને હુકમ કર્યો હતો કે, “તમારે પ્રત્યેક માણસની મરજી પ્રમાણે મદીરા પીરસવો.”

And the drinking was according to the law; none did compel: for so the king had appointed to all the officers of his house, that they should do according to every man’s pleasure.
