பிரசங்கி 9:1

இவை எல்லாவற்றையும் நான் என்னுடைய மனதிலே வகையறுக்கும்படிச் சிந்தித்தேன்; நீதிமான்களும் ஞானிகளும், தங்களுடைய செயல்களுடன், தேவனுடைய கையில் இருக்கிறார்கள்; தனக்குமுன்பு இருக்கிறவர்களைக்கொண்டு ஒருவனும் விருப்பையாவது, வெறுப்பையாவது அறியமாட்டான்.

For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God: no man knoweth either love or hatred by all that is before them.
