​หน​ังสือปัญญาจารย์ 6:2

คื​อมนุษย์​คนใดที่พระเจ้าทรงประทานทรัพย์​สมบัติ​ ความมั่งคั่งและยศฐาบรรดาศั​กด​ิ์​ให้​ จนสิ่งใดๆที่เขาปรารถนาสำหรับตัว ​จิ​ตใจเขาก็​มี​ครบไม่ขาดเลย ​แต่​พระเจ้ามิ​ได้​ทรงโปรดให้เขามีอำนาจรับประทานสิ่งนั้นได้ คนนอกบ้านนอกเมืองกลับรับประทานสิ่งนั้น ​นี่​​ก็​​อนิจจัง​ และเป็นความทุกข์ใจอย่างร้ายแรง

A man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it: this is vanity, and it is an evil disease.
