பிரசங்கி 4:8

ஒருவன் தனிமையாக இருக்கிறான்; அவனுக்கு யாருமில்லை, அவனுக்குப் பிள்ளையும் சகோதரனுமில்லை; அப்படியிருந்தும் அவன் படும் பிரயாசத்திற்கு முடிவில்லை; அவனுடைய கண் ஐசுவரியத்தால் திருப்தியாகிறதுமில்லை; நான் ஒரு நன்மையையும் அனுபவிக்காமல் யாருக்காக பிரயாசப்படுகிறேன் என்று அவன் சிந்திக்கிறதுமில்லை; இதுவும் மாயை, தீராத தொல்லை.

There is one alone, and there is not a second; yea, he hath neither child nor brother: yet is there no end of all his labour; neither is his eye satisfied with riches; neither saith he, For whom do I labour, and bereave my soul of good? This is also vanity, yea, it is a sore travail.
