เพราะว่าเหตุ​การณ์​ของบุตรทั้งหลายของมนุษย์กับเหตุ​การณ์​ของสัตว์เดียรัจฉานนั้นเหมือนกัน คือเป็นเหตุ​การณ์​อันเดียวกัน ฝ่ายหนึ่งตาย ​อี​กฝ่ายหนึ่​งก​็ตายเหมือนกัน ทั้งสองมีลมหายใจอย่างเดียวกัน และมนุษย์​ไม่มี​อะไรดีกว่าสัตว์​เดียรัจฉาน​ เพราะสารพั​ดก​็​อนิจจัง​

For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.
