ഞാൻ എന്റെ കൈകളുടെ സകലപ്രവൃത്തികളെയും ഞാൻ ചെയ്‌വാൻ ശ്രമിച്ച സകലപരിശ്രമങ്ങളെയും നോക്കി; എല്ലാം മായയും വൃഥാപ്രയത്നവും അത്രേ; സൂര്യന്റെ കീഴിൽ യാതൊരു ലാഭവും ഇല്ല എന്നു കണ്ടു.

Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun.
