સભાશિક્ષક 2:17

તેથી મને જિંદગી પર ધિક્કાર ઊપજ્યો કેમ કે પૃથ્વી પર જે કામ કરવામાં આવે છે તે મને દુઃખદાયક લાગ્યું. માટે સઘળું વ્યર્થ તથા પવનને મૂઠ્ઠીમાં ભરવા જેવું છે.

Therefore I hated life; because the work that is wrought under the sun is grievous unto me: for all is vanity and vexation of spirit.
