Deuteronomium 7:6

Want gij zijt een heilig volk den HEERE, uw God; u heeft de HEERE, uw God, verkoren, dat gij Hem tot een volk des eigendoms zoudt zijn uit alle volken, die op den aardbodem zijn.

For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.
