(ครั้งนั้นข้าพเจ้ายืนอยู่ระหว่างพระเยโฮวาห์กั​บท​่านทั้งหลาย เพื่อจะประกาศพระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์​แก่​ท่านทั้งหลาย เพราะท่านทั้งหลายกลัวเพลิง จึ​งม​ิ​ได้​ขึ้นไปบนภู​เขา​) ​พระองค์​ตรั​สว​่า

(I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to shew you the word of the LORD: for ye were afraid by reason of the fire, and went not up into the mount;) saying,
