മനശ്ശെയുടെ മകനായ യായീർ ഗെശൂര്യരുടെയും മാഖാത്യരുടെയും അതിർവരെ അർഗ്ഗോബ്ദേശം മുഴുവനും പിടിച്ചു തന്റെ പേരിൻ പ്രകാരം ബാശാന്നു ഹവോത്ത് - യായീർ എന്നു പേർ ഇട്ടു; ഇന്നുവരെ ആ പേർ തന്നേ പറഞ്ഞുവരുന്നു. -
