గాదు గురించి మోషే ఇలా పలికాడు. గాదు ప్రాంతాన్ని విశాలం చేసేవాడికి దీవెన. ఆ గోత్రం ఆడ సింహంలా పొంచి ఉంటుంది చేతిని, నడినెత్తిని చీల్చివేస్తుంది.

¶ And of Gad he said, Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head.
