ద్వితీయోపదేశ కాండము 31:17

అప్పుడు వారిమీద నా కోపం రేగుతుంది. నేను వాళ్ళని వదిలిపెడతాను. వారికి నా ముఖం చాటు చేస్తాను. వాళ్ళు నాశనమైపోతారు. ఎన్నో విపత్తులూ కష్టాలూ వాళ్లకు సంభవిస్తాయి. ఆ సమయంలో వాళ్ళు, మన దేవుడు మన మధ్య లేనందువల్లనే మనకు ఈ విపత్తులు వచ్చాయి గదా! అనుకుంటారు.

Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us?
