ആവർത്തനപുസ്തകം 31:17

എന്റെ കോപം അവരുടെ നേരെ ജ്വലിച്ചിട്ടു ഞാൻ അവരെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയും എന്റെ മുഖം അവർക്കു മറെക്കയും ചെയ്യും; അവർ നാശത്തിന്നിരയായ്തീരും; അനേകം അനർത്ഥങ്ങളും കഷ്ടങ്ങളും അവർക്കു ഭവിക്കും; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവം നമ്മുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഇല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടല്ലയോ ഈ അനർത്ഥങ്ങൾ നമുക്കു ഭവിച്ചതു എന്നു അവർ അന്നു പറയും.

Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us?
