ആവർത്തനപുസ്തകം 30:20

യഹോവ നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരായ അബ്രാഹാമിന്നും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്നും യാക്കോബിന്നും കൊടുക്കുമെന്നു സത്യംചെയ്ത ദേശത്തു നീ പാർപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ സ്നേഹിക്കയും അവന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടനുസരിക്കയും അവനോടു ചേർന്നിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നും ജീവനെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തുകൊൾക; അതല്ലോ നിനക്കു ജീവനും ദീർഘായുസ്സും ആകുന്നു.

That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
