ജീവനും മരണവും, അനുഗ്രഹവും ശാപവും നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പിൽ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നതിന്നു ഞാൻ ആകാശത്തെയും ഭൂമിയെയും ഇന്നു സാക്ഷി വെക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു നീയും നിന്റെ സന്തതിയും ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
