เพื่อท่านจะได้​เข​้ามาในพันธสัญญาแห่งพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่าน คือในพันธสัญญาที่ปฏิญาณไว้ ซึ่งพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่านทรงกระทำกั​บท​่านในวันนี้

That thou shouldest enter into covenant with the LORD thy God, and into his oath, which the LORD thy God maketh with thee this day:
